Fianne Konings is researcher and writer about primary (and secondary) art education and PhD-candidate at the University of Groningen (department of Arts, Culture and Media). Her PhD-research concerns the contribution of cultural institutions to a curriculum for art education. Konings graduated as a primary school teacher and holds an MA in Art and Culture Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam). She was a schoolteacher for many years and worked as art educator in cultural institutions. From 2012-2016 she lectured at the Master of Education in Arts of ArtEZ Institute of the Arts.
At the Master of Education in Arts, Fianne Konings is graduation supervisor. Her fields of expertise are: primary and secondary education, curriculum development, cultural institutions and partnerships, Dutch art education policy, theory of culture, culture and cognition. www.bureaukoningskunst.nl
