The Master of Education in Arts at the Piet Zwart Institute, Willem de Kooning Academy is OPEN for applications. To apply visit here.

Deadlines:

March 4, 2024: Priority deadline for completed applications of Dutch, and EU applicants.
(* This deadline doesn’t apply to the Master Design, for more information check here)

May 8, 2024: Final deadline for completed applications of Dutch and EU applicants.

The Master of Education in Arts reviews applications, plan interviews, and accepts students on a rolling basis from December 2023 to May 2024, until all positions in the cohort are filled. We strongly encourage students to apply early: ee review applications before and in-between deadlines.

Our program strives to be open and accessible: your application will be reviewed on short notice, and when it meets the requirements, you will be invited for an in-dept conversation.

How to prepare your application?

Please visit this and this information to read about the application requirements. To prepare your motivation letter, we invite you to describe your preference for the master program in detail: what do you expect from it, how does it relate to your current educational (and artistic) practice and where you would like to focus on within our two-year course? Make sure to provide an overview of your experience in education or experimental pedagogical practice, next to a possible artistic or design portfolio. If you have any additional questions, please contact our course coordinator Yasmine Libberecht: y.l.l.libberecht@hr.nl

Which students are able to apply?

Since MEiA is a part-time program, it is not possible for non-EU applicants to obtain a study visa for this master program. For this reason, the Master of Education in Arts cannot accept non-EU applicants, unless they have an EU passport, or are residents in the Netherlands and have a visa which allows them to follow a part-time course.
