Hogeschool Rotterdam Willem de Kooning Academie

If you would like to apply for the Master Education in Arts course of the Piet Zwart Institute, please follow the link to our online applications tool. Via this tool you can register, start your application, save it and finalize at any given moment before the application deadline.

We encourage you to apply early. We strive towards an open and inclusive policy and welcome and encourage all students interested to apply. Our program is open to Dutch applications and applications from within the EU. In the academic year 2019-2010 we specifically also encourage applicants from the field of vocational and secondary education to apply interested in maker education, critical making and transdisciplinary education (STEAM onderwijs).

Unfortunately our master cannot accept Non-European students, due to the fact that it is a part time master program.

March 1, 2019: Priority deadline for Dutch and EU applicants.

May 1, 2019: Final deadline for Dutch and EU applicants.

Please read the application requirements carefully. We’ll ask you to write a motivation letter, send in a port-folio and CV (and send in some other formal requirements). The port-folio should contain a representative collection of projects (experience in the educational field) and work (artistic design practice, if this applies to you) you would like to present yourself with. The motivation letter should contain a motivation why you would like to apply for this program, why you would like to embark on a master study, as well as a description of the educational field or research topic you’re specifically interested in and want to explore in the two-year programme.

Candidates who meet the formal requirements are invited for an interview. Interviews will start as early as mid March and carry up until the end of May.

Do you start in September and do you want to apply for a scholarship (this applies to Dutch students)? There are two possibilities:
